Sugar Caneis a Japanese brand focusing onreconstructing theearly days of vintage workwear history. The brand has roots that goes back to the 1950's but it wasn't until the late 80's that Sugar Cane started building the reputation forbeingone of the best denim makers in Japan. It is a reputation they still deserve!
This kind of jacket can be referred to as a 'chore jacket' or 'loco jacket' and the model was commonly usedas workwear in the early 20th century. The style of jacket has survived up until today due to its functional design, a great jacket with plenty of pockets!
Sugar Canes version comes in a11 ozblue denim fabric. They've made this fabric on a shuttle loom, using rope-dyed indigo yarn for the warp and grey yarn for the weft. This fabric will age just like a pair of jeans and become more and more beautiful the more you wear it. The coat has a roomy fit and is very suitable for casual wear. The coat comes with four front pockets and one inner pocket. It also comes with a second button at the cuffs for a tighter fit around the wrist.
Douglas is 180 cm tall, weighs 87 kilos and wears a size 40.
